Happy Birthday Uncle P E-mail
Friday, 29 April 2005

Every Friday, lunch time, uncle P (Pat Ferguson) saunters into his favourite restaurant Angie’s on Eglinton East in Scarborough, and usually with one or two Georgian cronies.

He swears it’s the best mackerel & bananas in town and sure enough at 12:30 you will find him there salivating over this ever-popular Jamaican dish and nursing his favourite vodka drink.
Friday April 15 th was a bit different.

“Rhatid” he exclaimed, as he ambled through the door and was met by a cacophony of sound from off key voices rendering “ Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to you.”
Then he spied his brother Allan; a slew of his fellow St.G.C executive members, and some of his long time area cronies.

It was all joy from there on.

April 10 th was Uncle P’s 72nd birthday, and Joan at the restaurant had alerted Skedron about a surprise party on the upcoming Friday and asked him to round up the gang to celebrate.

Uncle P now you know how much you are loved.
You who shower so much care to others in your role as our Care Committee Director are more than deserving of life’s richest blessings. The show of appreciation from your band of St.G.C. brothers must have been spiritually uplifting.

Happy Birthday- may there be many more.

Uncle P seated with Danny HoLung & crouching behind, are Robbie Vernon & Michael Charley. At back: Allan Ferguson, Norma & Patrick Smith, Joan (Angie’s), Michael Brandon, Peter Hitchins, Bobby Walker, Patrick Haddad, Tyrone Holbrooke, Don Barnett, Ray Chang.
