STGC Old Boys’ Association Ontario Scholarship Award

Continuing in the Blue & White tradition of supporting educational achievement, the St George's Old Boys' Association (Ontario) Chapter offers an annual scholarship presently $1,500.

Only children or grandchildren of a paid-up member are eligible to apply.

Recipient selection is made by the Scholarship Committee; a group separate and apart from the Board and currently comprising Drs. Louis Lee, Herbert Ho Ping Kong and Derrick Haddad.

If you have children or grandchildren applying to college or university, or currently in any year of undergraduate or post-graduate studies, encourage them to apply. There is no fee, the application is simple, and the scholarship is unconditional.

The deadline for application is March 1, annually. The recipient will be announced at the annual Family Dinner/Brunch usually in March/April.

Please download the application form and complete, sign and mail in to us at the addresses indicated on the Application Form along with a covering letter attached advising the name of the parent/grandparent who is a paid up member. Note:  The covering letter is confidential and will not be released to the Scholarship Committee

Please also complete and forward the expansion of ideas in the highlighted areas on the application on the attached blank letterhead. Any additional information and documentation provided would enhance your submission..

The award is not necessarily granted to the person with the highest grades. A rounded educational background with evidence of success in academic, athletic and community involvement are contributing factors. The award is granted to a person who the panellists feel will make a meaningful contribution to society.
