What over the last 5 years has become a major social event over the Caribana weekend lived up to its expectations as nearly 800 elegantly dressed and party mood guests rocked and swayed at the International Plaza hotel, Airport Road till 1:30 in the morning. We kept hearing 'This was the best ever'. The music was great, the catered meal plentiful and the service great!

This is the place to meet the West Indian social elite of Toronto. Seeing enjoying themselves in the crowd was The Jamaica High Commissioner to Canada, Mr. Raymond Wolfe, who graciously agreed to hand out some prizes. Also observed dancing up a storm was The Jamaica Trade Commissioner Cherita Girvan Campbell and CTV anchor Andrea Case.

Past president of our Ontario chapter Johnny Chavannes and his lovely wife Regina flew up from Atlanta, Georgia for the event. Also up from the States were Howie & Anne Williams. From Waterloo, Ontario, Dr. Derek & Lisbeth Haddad and Dickie & Marie Crutchley. The pictorial gallery captures some of the revelers and the mood of the evening.
